The Haywood Animal Welfare Association held its 2008 annual meeting at the Haywood County Public Library’s downstairs meeting room on April 24th, 2008 starting at 6:30. Instead of the business end of the meeting, Penny Wallace, President of HAWA,decided to start with our special guest speakers from the Spartanburg Humane Society in order that they could leave earlier for the long drive back to Spartanburg,SC.

HAWA Needs Donations For Food |

With a recession upon Haywood County, the need for more cat and dog food
to help those struggling to make ends meet is increasing. HAWA needs more
donations of cat food to help supply the food pantries and Meals on Wheels
recipients. Donations can be dropped off at the HAWA office Mon. – Thurs.
10-5pm or checks can be sent to HAWA, PO Box 992, Waynesville, NC
28786 so we can purchase pet food at greatly discounted prices. The animals
of Haywood County deeply appreciate your support during this time of need. |
