Love That Cat! From 2/10 to 3/31 Haywood Spay/Neuter’s new $10 Spay Your Cat Special includes a free rabies shot courtesy of a grant from the ASPCA. Dogs also get a free rabies shot when you sign up for our very low cost $30 spay/neuter surgery ($0 if you provide proof of public assistance). Available to all Haywood County residents. Please bring proof of income when you register.

Our goal is to assure that everyone who has a cat or dog can afford to spay or neuter their pet. The shelter is overpopulated with unwanted animals and thousands of perfectly good animals are euthanized each year. Spaying and neutering your animal is the only proven way to reduce the pet overpopulation. Help us spread the word!

Why do we offer this service at such a low rate? Because too many animals are being euthanized each week. We have sponsored over 8,000 surgeries since 2003:

To take advantage of our low cost spay/neuter program you must make advance reservations as there are a limited number of spaces available on each transport. Please bring proof of income with you to register. If you are on public assistance, please bring valid government issued ID with you as well. This is required by the NC State Spay/Neuter Fund. Haywood Spay/Neuter does not limit services based on income. All client information will be confidential.
